The London Fire Brigade Parachute Team is unique in many ways. Its members are all part of the Fire Service and are drawn from both uniformed and non-uniformed departments. Each person volunteers their time and effort which has enabled the Team to become much sought after in recent years.
The Team was formed in 1987 and our member now number over twenty. All are trained in freefall parachuting and only after a parachutist has made in excess of 200 descents is that person allowed to join his colleagues in the air.

Through the Teams work we have been able to do two very important things. The first is to promote the message of fire safety and secondly to assist in fund raising for charity, in particular Raft, a charity closely linked with the service
It is important to point out that the Team doesn't get funded by public money from the Fire Authority. It relies on sponsorship from industry. And what better way for companies to promote their products and services.
For promotions or marketing campaigns we can produce spectacular photographs and video. This year our preseason training camp will be in Ampuriabrava (Spain), whilst there we shall be performing high altitude canopy stacks and skydiving with flags. The Team has members who are experienced in camera work who will video and photograph these events.
